2008 FLC Excellence in Technology Transfer Award

May 2008 — The Federal Laboratory Consortium (FLC) announced that QwikLite®, an Assure Controls, Inc. product, won the 2008 FLC Excellence in Technology Transfer Award. Dr. David Lapota, QwikLite’s inventor and Assure Controls, the company responsible for its commercial product launch, were honored at the 2008 Federal Laboratory Consortium National Meeting held May 5-8 in Portland, Oregon. Scientists and technology transfer specialists from around the country were honored for advancing their technologies from the laboratory to the marketplace. Assure Controls, Inc. received the National Award for Excellence in Technology Transfer. The award ceremony was held the evening of May 8, 2008, at the Hilton Portland in the Pavilion Ballroom with over four hundred people in attendance. Mr. Bryan Bjorndal, Founder and CEO of Assure Controls, and Dr. David Lapota, inventor, received the award, which included personal letters of appreciation from the US Secretary of the Navy, the Honorable Donald C. Winter.

2007 Assure Controls Finalist in AeA's High Tech Awards

September 2007 — The AeA announced Assure Controls, Inc. as a finalist in the 14th Annual High Tech Awards in the Analytical Instrumentation category. Other finalists in the category were Cymer, Luxtera and Sequoia Communications.

2006 CONNECT MIP Awards - General Technology Category Finalist

November 2006 — Assure Controls' QwikLite® 200 Testing System was one of three finalists in the General Technology category for the CONNECT MIP Awards. The Most Innovative New Product program has served as a benchmark for predicting the region's most successful emerging technologies. From early stage biotechnology companies to the first products generated by the region's telecommunications boom, MIP has been an indicator of the industries and technologies that have stimulated the San Diego economy.

2006 Outstanding Commercialization Success

August 2006 — Assure won a second award, this time in conjunction with the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWAR)/San Diego. The Federal Laboratory Consortium, Far West Region, honored them with the 2006 "Outstanding Commercialization Success" award for their QwikLite® Technology. The award highlights the most significant new commercial product that originated from government research and development.

2006 Gold Trophy, Best of Show

March 2006 — Assure Controls received the Gold Trophy, Best of Show, at The World's Best Technology Showcase, held in Arlington, Texas. International in scope, with companies and technologies from five continents; the meeting is designed to support world-class technologies entering the marketplace by providing the opportunity to develop new relationships.
