Company History

Assure Controls was founded in January 2005. It was awarded grants from the Center for Commercialization of Advanced Technology (CCAT). Assure commercializes technology that has been invented by creative scientists from a wide variety of backgrounds.

The company's first product, the QwikLite® 200 Biosensor System is the result of over five years and nearly $2.5 million in research funded by the Department of the Navy to study marine bioluminescence and relationships to various environmental conditions. QwikLite® instruments have been used for several years. The first commercialization success of Assure Controls was to make a more robust and comprehensive system. The combinations of miniature optical and electrical design, computerized control, digital communications technology, and scientific protocols have converged and provide the industry's first quantifiable Biological Impact Number.
