Assure Controls Receives 2006 Federal Laboratory Outstanding Commercialization Award
Carlsbad, California, September 7, 2006 — At the annual awards ceremony of the Federal Laboratory Consortium, Far West Region; Assure Controls, Inc., and the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWAR)/San Diego, were honored with the 2006 "Outstanding Commercialization Success" award for their "QwikLite™ Technology". The technology uses microscopic bioluminescent plankton to rapidly detect toxic levels of contaminants in water and sediments. Assure Controls, Inc. utilizes this technology in their QwikLite™ 200 Testing System.
The event was held on August 31st in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mr. Bryan Bjorndal, President of Assure Controls, Inc. was present to accept the award on behalf of the company. The award highlights the most significant new commercial product that originated from government research and development.
