Peking University Environmental Science Students Receive Sponsorships from Carlsbad-based Water Testing Company
Carlsbad, California, September 26, 2006 — One hundred students enrolled at Peking University, Beijing, China will receive sponsorship for a one-year membership in the Society for Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC), from Assure Controls, Inc., the company announced today.
The students are studying environmental sciences and the membership provides access to online and print subscriptions to the monthly international journal of peer-reviewed research papers, a newsletter that highlights environmental topics, SETAC activities and employment opportunities, an online membership directory, reduced prices on SETAC books, and reduced registration fees to SETAC meetings.
Professor Shu Tao, College of Environmental Sciences, Peking University, will help administer the student sponsorships. "We are very appreciative of this generous program; our students would not otherwise be able to afford the membership in a professional society" said Professor Tao.
Assure Controls recently attended the Asia-Pacific SETAC Meeting held at the university September 18-20th. They orally presented a scientific paper with comparative field data, and conducted a workshop on their water contamination assessment product, the QwikLite™ 200 Testing System, which was also exhibited.

The student memberships will provide them with the most current scientific information in their field of study."
The student membership sponsorship program will be administered by Asia Water Solutions Company, Limited, the exclusive distributor of the QwikLite Testing System in China.
