Technology
We have taken industry standards and embedded them in the measurement, sampling handling, statistical analysis, and data collection processes. The QwikLite® 200 Biosensor System uses patented methods to rapidly determine toxicity of potential contaminants of both inorganic and organic varieties.
The testing process is simple and can be done in any temperate location. State of the art miniature optics and electronics are used to analyze each sample separately. Quality control and sample integrity are ensured via the bar coded disposable test kits, menu driven guidance of EPA methods and laboratory procedures, and industry standards for completing reports. These include:
- EPA procedures and requirements for sampling methods and measurements are part of the Assure QwikLite® 200 Biosensor System, and follow EPA Methods for Measuring Acute Toxicity EPA-821-R-02-012, -013, -014.
- Bioluminescence: total light emitted and spectral characteristics of selected species of marine plankton is measured and compared to a standard or control sample in each test.

Steps |
Activities |
| 1 |
Need-Sample-Dose |
- Client's protocols require toxicity testing.
- Sampling done on site.
- Plankton are dosed per menu-driven specific protocols and procedures.
- Report is started.
